An accomplished musician who has been involved in a growing plethora of projects over the years, Aaron James has been recognised as one of the Central Coast’s most versatile and promising indie talents. After first cutting his teeth as part of punk-rock band Short Notice, Aaron expanded his reach in pop-rock outfit Paper Wolves, playing on National TV, touring and supporting established groups such as Thirsty Merc and Smash Mouth.

With a repertoire that most artists would be jealous of, Aaron took the bold step of recording his own solo EP in 2015, with ‘Reflections emerging as a landmark and wonderfully popular release. As the dust settled on the EP, Aaron took the time to reflect on his sound and style, focusing on his own personal growth and bringing a more mature sound to his songwriting.

From here brought upon the creation of the Fairytale Blues EP. A mixture of Pop and Punk elements, delivered with high energy and a full band feel, giving you a groove you could really move to.  A Popular single  ‘Endless Summer’ sought 10k+ views on Facebook during its premiere week. The Track ‘Heart” ranked in the top ten of the ‘Listen Up Australia’ songwriter competition (2018). The music videos brought to life from this EP release received humble praise from many locals as they captured the beauty of Aarons local area and famous landmarks like the Sydney Opera House.

 Fast forward through a serious of events, from greater maturity to a national pandemic, another transformation in Aaron’s songwriting brooded. Reflecting deeper into personal and more vulnerable topics and giving us a introspective look into origins of particular impacting moments in Aaron’s life. Released late 2021, the Golden Haze EP  captured these emotional topics covering love, loss, longing and acceptance.

Aaron Explains the reason behind the name of the EP title, “it’s the magic moment around dawn and dusk where the sun’s rays blend with the sea mist creating a memorizing golden haze. I’d sit and write down my thoughts and feelings during  these moments and thanks  to that dedicated time, this EP was born”.

 Heartfelt tracks such as "beautiful" and "once in a life time" from the EP found home in numerous indie/folk playlists including  'Morning folks', 'Acoustic song writer sessions' and 'Acoustic gems' playlists.

With the live music scene starting to find its feet again Aaron sought this opportunity to gain inspiration through seeing his favourite artists perform live.  With the likes of Ziggy Alberts, Hollow coves, The Dreggs and Jack Botts mixing a new passion to song writing, Aaron released "Sunkissed lips" in 2023 pathing yet another exciting chapter in Aarons music journey.
